Rates are still inching their way down despite the state of our nation's economy. Freddie Mac announced rates averaged 6.04% for a 30-year-fixed mortgage, down from 6.14% the previous week and from 6.20% this time last year.
For six uninterrupted weeks rates on a 30-year-fixed mortgage have remained at or higher than 6%.
Rates on a 15-year-fixed mortgage sit at 5.73%, coming down from 5.83%. Rates on a 5-year ARM stand at 5.87%, down from 5.98%; and 1 year ARMs stand at 5.29%, down from 5.33%
